Clara Powell - Vice President of Marketing and Business Development

Clara Powell oversees the front-end activities for Eden Park Illumination. She leads all marketing activities and the brand vision and strategy. Her responsibilities include driving the strategic application roadmap and managing specifier outreach. With eighteen years of experience in the lighting industry in sales, marketing and architectural lighting design & application, Ms. Powell brings a broad knowledge of the market and value chain, as well as a strong understanding of the product development and product launch process.

Prior to joining Eden Park Illumination Ms. Powell spent thirteen years with Philips, where she held positions in lamps and later solid state lighting (or LED) systems, and was instrumental in facilitating Philips’ entry in the LED Fixture Solutions business in North America. Earlier in her career she worked as an architectural lighting designer within renowned firms. Beyond her day job she has actively supported the lighting industry for many years through her participation in professional lighting organizations, and has held leadership positions such as President of the New York section of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and Board member of the Richard Kelly Grant. She received a degree in ‘design of the built environment’ from the ENSAAMA, Paris, France, and a Masters Degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute, where she studied on a Fulbright Scholarship.
