Our Story

Eden Park Illumination, Inc. was founded in May, 2007, to develop and commercialize products based on a new platform lighting technology called Microplasma.

The company’s co-founders, Professors Gary Eden and Sung-Jin Park, are recognized world leaders in this field, with many years of research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Laboratory for Optical Physics and Engineering has a history extending over more than fifty years of fundamental discoveries and a tradition of innovation.
