Won Yi - Vice President of Technology

Won Yi is charged with the development, engineering and implementation of mercury-free Flat Panel Lighting technology at the Company’s Research and Development facility within the research park of the University of Illinois. Dr Yi manages the development engineering team.

Dr. Yi brings to Eden Park Illumination about twenty-five years of research experience in plasma physics and engineering. This includes his graduate school work as well as twenty years of experience in industrial and national laboratory experience in plasma physics, plasma lamp, plasma display panel (PDP), electro-optics and semiconductor application laser plasma area. Prior to joining the Company Dr. Yi held a managerial position with Samsung, in the area of plasma display panel engineering. Won Yi received a Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska in 1997.
